The Growforward Project offers a variety of well-equipped spaces suitable for a wide range of leisure, sport, and community activities. Whether you’re planning a class, hosting an event, or running a regular group, our flexible facilities can be tailored to your needs.

Book Green Room

Green Room

Capacity: 80 people
Pricing: £40.00 per hour

Our largest indoor space - the Green Room. Formerly the assembly & sports hall for the old school, it benefits from a hardwood floor and high ceiling. Ideal for dances, performances, larger meetings or conferences etc. There is a tea-point in the entrance lobby (removable on request). Adjoins The Meadow.

Our largest and most level outside space - The Meadow adjoins the Green Room and is bordered by a stream.

Communal Room

Capacity: 25 people
Pricing: £15.00 per hour

Formerly a dining room for the old boarding school, this room is flexible and has been used as a medium sized meeting room, ad-hoc office space, breakout area, dining room, and lounge. Small kitchen attached with microwave, kettle, sink, fridge etc.

Pricing: No charge

We offer space in our Hub for non-exclusive use. This has a cafe service counter, and is sometimes used as cafe space when the cafe is busy. Ideal for informal groups like knitting clubs etc. Wheelchair accessible with accessible toilet directly accessed from this space.

Book Woodland - Orchard

Woodland - Orchard

Capacity: 30 people
Pricing: £10.00 per hour

On the upper level of our Orchard is a large level outdoor area ideal for smaller groups which don't need the space of The Meadow.  Includes a small wooden summer house.
No Wi-Fi & no electricity = fewer distractions.

NOTE: access up the meadow is quite a steep walk and definitely not wheelchair accessible etc.

Book Woodland - Copse

Woodland - Copse

Capacity: 20 people
Pricing: £10.00 per hour

Surrounded on three sides by the stream The Copse is a semi-secluded flat area of somewhat rough grassland under a canopy of trees.  Ideal for woodland construction / learning activities or similar.  Access is by walking along the Old Leat which used to feed water to the waterwheel - this is not suitable for those with limited mobility.

A calm quiet space with a couple of chairs and a table. Primarily envisioned as a space for talking therapy or similar, but equally ideal for a quiet one to one meeting or similar.  Alternative furniture may be available by arrangement.
